Terms of Service

Effective date: .

The service and these terms

BrainCache is a personal productivity service operated independently by an individual in New York State, USA, without an LLC or corporation. It provides Memories, Categories, tags, task and review workflows, scheduling, booking links, Trusted Calendar links, and optional Google Calendar integration. These terms describe use of the service. Information handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

Age eligibility and agreement

You must be at least 18 years old to register for or use BrainCache. Provide accurate account information and use the service only if you can enter into an agreement under applicable law.

Account responsibilities

Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account and for safeguarding sharing links. Report suspected unauthorized access through the contact channel below. Account availability and feature access may depend on signup settings, subscription status, and service limits.

Acceptable use

Use BrainCache lawfully and respect others’ rights. Do not upload unlawful content, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, distribute malicious software, harass others, access another person’s account without permission, bypass access controls or service limits, or interfere with the service. Do not use booking or trusted links beyond the permissions the owner intended.

Your content and sharing

You retain ownership of the Memories, tasks, events, and other content you create. BrainCache does not claim ownership. You grant only the limited permission needed to store, process, synchronize, and display that content for features you authorize, including an integration you enable or links you choose to share. Only submit material you have the right to use and share.

Uploaded images use public URLs and may be accessible to anyone with the URL. Trusted Calendar links can reveal event details and permit configured event creation; recipients can forward links. Review what you share and keep independent copies of important information. Disabling a link or deleting content cannot recall copies already obtained by others.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid subscription processed by Stripe. Prices, the billing interval, and applicable charges appear in checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. You may cancel at any time using the billing portal linked from Account, or contact support@braincache.dev if you need assistance. Under BrainCache's cancellation policy, paid access continues through the end of the current billing period after cancellation.

Payments are generally nonrefundable, except where applicable law requires a refund or the operator approves one individually. Contact support for refund requests. Stopping use, disconnecting Google, or requesting account deletion does not itself cancel billing.

Third-party integrations and Google Calendar

Third-party services have their own terms, policies, availability, and access requirements. Google Calendar is optional and requires your authorization. BrainCache reads your primary calendar and supports explicit linked Schedule Event creation, updates, and deletion when write permission is granted. Imported Google events are read-only in BrainCache; Memory tasks and review dates are not automatically sent to Google.

Synchronization is periodic or manually requested, not a real-time guarantee. Rate limits, outages, revoked permissions, or expired authorization may delay updates or require reconnection. Successful local saves can remain pending or fail to synchronize with Google; review status and retry when necessary. Linked deletion may require a healthy writable connection. Direct Google edits do not automatically overwrite a linked BrainCache-owned event.

Disconnecting removes the local connection and imported cache but preserves BrainCache-owned events and their link identifiers. It does not delete previously created Google events. Verify critical appointments in Google and do not rely on BrainCache as your only record or as an emergency notification service.

Availability and changes

The service may be interrupted for maintenance, faults, security, or third-party failures. Features and limits may change. Uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, and successful synchronization are not guaranteed. Keep independent copies of information that is important to you.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service, disconnect integrations, and request account deletion by emailing support@braincache.dev. Requests must be verified, and there is no self-service deletion feature or promised processing timeframe. See the retention and deletion policy for available options and limitations.

The operator may restrict access to address misuse, security threats, legal requirements, or violations of these terms, subject to applicable law. Stopping use or disconnecting Google is not an account-deletion or subscription-cancellation request. Contact support with questions about account access or closure.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. The operator does not promise that stored information, scheduling results, or integrations will always be complete or accurate.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, arising from service use or interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New York State law, without excluding mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply where you live.

Changes to these terms

Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent in-app notice before taking effect. Minor changes may be reflected in the text and updated dates. Contact support with questions about changes or if you wish to stop using the service.
